QA Intern Trainee (Quality Assurance)

Job Summary
We are looking for a QA Trainee who is passionate about software quality and eager to build a career in software testing. The candidate will be trained on manual and basic automation testing practices and will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA members to ensure high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing
Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Write and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data
Perform functional, regression, sanity, and smoke testing
Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA / Bugzilla
Re-test defects and validate fixes
API & Backend Testing (Basic)
Test APIs using tools like Postman
Validate request/response, status codes, and basic payload structure
Assist in testing backend workflows
Web & Mobile Testing
Test web and/or mobile applications across different browsers/devices
Report UI/UX and usability issues
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain test cases, test results, and defect reports
Assist in preparing test summary reports
Collaboration & Learning
Work closely with developers and senior QA members
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Learn QA best practices, SDLC, and STLC processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
Technical Skills
Basic understanding of Software Testing concepts
Knowledge of SDLC & STLC
Understanding of Manual Testing fundamentals
Basic SQL knowledge (good to have)
Basic understanding of APIs (REST)
Tools (Good to Have)
JIRA or any defect tracking tool
Postman
Selenium (basic awareness is enough for trainee role)
Soft Skills
Willingness to learn and adapt
Analytical and problem-solving mindset
Team player with a positive attitude
Required Skills
