About the Role
Our client, a well-established group company, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead and manage group-wide procurement activities. This role will play a key part in driving cost efficiency, strengthening vendor partnerships, and ensuring procurement strategies are aligned with the overall business objectives across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes across the Group, ensuring full compliance with company policies and standards.
- Coordinate and consolidate procurement activities across multiple business units to maximize cost efficiency and leverage group purchasing power.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors, building strong and long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to meet the needs of the Holding Company and related business units.
- Monitor vendor performance, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and proactively resolve issues.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and ensure clarity on specifications and expectations.
- Prepare and present procurement reports and analyses to senior management, highlighting key metrics and improvement opportunities.
- Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction, process improvement, and implementation of procurement best practices across the organization.
- Stay up to date with market trends, price fluctuations, and new suppliers that could bring value to the company.
- Manage the procurement team, oversee workload distribution, and ensure performance targets are achieved.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within a corporate or group environment.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable commercial terms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a group or holding company environment is a strong advantage.
- Willingness to be based in Surabaya.
