We are actively looking for a
Purchase Coordinator (Logistics), within Packaging and Paper Business Area.
Job Description
- Plan and coordinate domestic and international logistics activities to support Valmet service-center operations in Indonesia.
- Manage end-to-end transportation and shipment of goods, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, required quality, and compliance with government regulations.
- Handle import and export operations, including preparation and coordination of all related documentation.
- Perform HS Code classification and customs tariff interpretation to ensure accurate and compliant declarations.
- Coordinate PIB / PEB (import & export declarations) and customs clearance processes with forwarders, customs brokers, and authorities.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, international trade rules, and trade compliance requirements.
- Liaise actively with overseas Valmet companies, customers, freight forwarders, logistics providers, and customs officers.
- Work closely with internal departments (Procurement, Warehouse, Engineering, Production, Finance, Sales, etc.) to maintain effective scheduling and delivery performance.
- Manage, evaluate, and develop logistics suppliers, transporters, and forwarders to improve performance and optimize costs.
- Support and implement Global / Area Logistics policies and processes at local level.
- Monitor logistics KPIs, lead time, costs, and service quality; prepare regular performance and cost reports according to global standards.
- Respond to customer and internal inquiries related to transportation cost, lead time, and mode of transport.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with Valmet Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental (QHSE) policies and management systems.
Qualification & Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistic or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of operational experience for managing Logistic operations (in the same field of service will be better).
- Customs certification required (AKP preferred), PPJK license or other EXIM-related certifications are mandatory.
- Good and Proven track record and has wide connection with Logistic company.
- Ability to quickly gain a deep understanding of business processes and products
- Excellent skills in English, both written and verbal
- Good working knowledge of ERP systems with experience with Valmet system.
- Understanding of Valmet sourcing processes is preferred.
- Proven ability to implement strategies, develop networks and build teams
- Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills
- Strong influencing skills across organizations and cultural boundaries
