Job Description
Builds strategic relationships with influential opinion leaders to advance the Church's reputation and mission; provides insights and analysis to Church leaders by identifying challenges and opportunities, advising on decision impacts, and communicating effectively to foster positive relationships and support problemsolving.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement public affairs initiatives that align with priesthood leadership objectives in Indonesia.
- Provide responsive and proactive support to priesthood leaders and the National Communication Council, including training and ongoing coordination.
- Organize and support high-level events such as temple events, visits from Church headquarters, and BYU performances.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including leaders in business, education, interfaith communities, local government, and media professionals.
- Develop and publish news content that strategically elevates the Church's public profile and increases awareness.
- Draft responses to inquiries from journalists, newspapers, magazines, radio, and television.
- Draft, edit, and propose materials that introduce and promote the Church to external stakeholders.
- Leverage social media platforms and data analytics to enhance the Church's visibility and public engagement.
- Maintain detailed records of interactions with opinion leaders and develop tailored engagement plans for highpriority individuals.
- Monitor and assess political developments and issues that may affect the Church's operations or reputation in Indonesia.
- Create and maintain official correspondence and presentations related to public affairs in Indonesia.
Qualifications
- University degree with at least 45 years of experience in public relations, communications, or related fields, especially involving social media.
- Familiarity with Church organization and priesthood governance, as well as event planning and management; knowledge of Church policies, procedures, and doctrines.
- Experience working with a diverse range of cultures, people, professional media, government, and business leaders.
- Excellent writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Self-disciplined, selfmotivated, responsive, and a team player.
