Role Overview
We are looking for a Translator / Interpreter to support our project team during the execution of an electrical installation project for BYD Indonesia. The translator will bridge communication between our Indonesian team and Chinese partners, ensuring smooth technical and operational discussions.
Responsibilities
- Translate documents, technical drawings, and presentations (Mandarin Bahasa Indonesia / English).
- Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, daily coordination, and site discussions.
- Assist project managers and engineers in communication with Chinese subcontractors and suppliers.
- Support accurate understanding of technical terms related to mechanical installation, safety procedures, and on-site equipment.
- Ensure confidentiality of project documents and information.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken & written).
- Strong command of Bahasa Indonesia (English is a plus).
- Experience in technical translation/interpretation, preferably in engineering, automation, or industrial projects.
- Ability to handle on-site translation during installation and commissioning activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work full-time during the project period (20 August 30 November 2025 for 9 hours / day including weekends).
- HSK 4+
Work Location & Schedule
- Location: Subang, West Java (project site).
- Working Hours: 8:00 18:00 daily (with 1-hour break at 12:0013:00).
- Weekend and overtime work may be required based on project needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay based on skills and experience (Rp 15,000,000 Rp 23,000,000 / month)
