Job Description

Role: Project Manager, Indonesia

Start date: Immediately

Location: Indonesia (Jakarta preferred; remote within Indonesia considered)

If you've ever stood at the back of a packed room on programme day, knowing every speaker, partner and approval got there because you chased it, you know the satisfaction of a programme that simply works. We need someone who can carry that from plan to final report.

You'll lead Indonesia-based projects run by Biji-biji: conferences, community and digital-skills programmes, delivered with government and international partners. Full-time, fixed-term contract for the length of the project.

What you'd be doing

  • Own the plan, timeline and budget for your projects, from kickoff to final report.
  • Be the day-to-day contact for funders and partners: regular updates, approvals, no surprises.
  • Deliver on the ground, from large conferences and events to workshops and community sessions.
  • Hire, lead and support your delivery team, including assistants, freelancers and vendors.
  • Collect clean data at every activity and turn it into progress and final reports.
  • Keep every activity within funder rules for compliance, branding and reporting.

What you'll need

Must-have

  • Around 5+ years delivering programmes, conferences or large events end to end, with budget and reporting responsibility
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders such as government or international partners
  • Full professional English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Based in Indonesia, and able to travel to Jakarta and project sites

Bonus points for

  • Experience with donor- or government-funded projects
  • Running events of 500+ participants
  • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation and grant compliance
  • Interest in digital skills, the creative economy or community development
  • Leading cross-functional or remote teams

What you get

  • Remote-first, flexible hours: we judge the work, not the online status, with on-site time at events and project sites
  • Generous annual, paternal, study and sick leave, because life isn't only about work
