PT Masmindo Dwi Area | Awak Mas Gold Project, South Sulawesi
PT Masmindo Dwi Area is building the Awak Mas Gold Project and looking for a Project Engineering Manager to lead and govern all engineering activities across the project — from detailed engineering through to construction and commissioning support and project handover. Reporting to the GM of Projects, you will own the technical integrity of everything that gets built, ensuring engineering deliverables are sound, constructible, and fit to operate for the life of the mine.
You will lead a multi-discipline engineering function covering process plant, TSF, non-process infrastructure, and utilities, and manage the external consultants and EPC contractors who deliver the design.
What you will do
- Own the engineering and design integrity across process plant, TSF, non-process infrastructure, utilities, and supporting facilities — while construction delivery sits with the respective Construction Managers.
- Set the design criteria, technical standards, and engineering governance that keep every project package consistent and compliant.
- Manage and coordinate external engineering consultants, EPC contractors, and specialist providers to deliver on requirement, budget, and schedule.
- Review and approve engineering studies, design packages, specifications, calculations, and drawings before construction proceeds.
- Provide engineering support to the Construction, QA/QC, and Commissioning Managers, ensuring solutions are practical, constructible, and aligned with how the mine will run — without taking over their delivery, verification, or start-up scope.
- Lead technical risk assessment, value engineering, design optimization, and engineering change management to cut execution risk.
- Report engineering status, technical issues, and design risks — with mitigation plans — to the GM of Projects.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with Indonesian regulations, permitting requirements, company standards, and HSE requirements.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Process, Mining, Metallurgical, or a related engineering discipline; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 15 years in engineering, project engineering, or design management on mining, mineral processing, EPC, or large industrial projects — including proven time leading an engineering function.
- Track record leading multidiscipline engineering teams and managing consultants through detailed design and into construction and commissioning support.
- Strong command of design review, constructability assessment, and technical governance.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate engineering interfaces across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, process, and geotechnical disciplines.
- Solid grasp of project execution methodology, engineering standards, technical risk, and change management.
- Senior-level leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence technical decisions.
- Willing to be site based on a roster arrangement.
A strong advantage: experience on gold processing, heap leach, or TSF within a mining or large-scale infrastructure project.
