Job Overview:
One of our clients is seeking a Project Engineer (Marine / Offshore) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of marine and offshore projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, engineering teams, and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling technical documentation, project coordination, and compliance within marine or offshore environments.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in planning and executing marine/offshore projects from initiation to completion
- Prepare and review technical documents, drawings, specifications, and method statements
- Coordinate with engineering teams, shipyards, subcontractors, and vendors
- Monitor project schedules, progress, and deliverables; identify risks or delays
- Assist in procurement processes including technical evaluations and vendor coordination
- Ensure compliance with marine, offshore, and classification standards (ABS, DNV, BV, LR)
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments (HAZID/HAZOP), and technical meetings
- Support site activities such as fabrication, installation, commissioning, and sea trials
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Prepare progress reports, documentation, and technical correspondence
- Assist with change management, cost control, and variation assessments
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field
- Experience in marine and/or offshore projects
- Strong understanding of marine/offshore standards and regulations
- Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and multicultural environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel to shipyards or offshore sites
Great-to-Have:
- Experience in EPC or EPCIC projects
- Exposure to offshore installation, commissioning, or operations
- Knowledge of contract management and project controls
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar engineering tools
