Role Description The Project Cost Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Tarakan. This role is responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs, ensuring that budgets are followed and financial targets are met throughout the project lifecycle. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing cost reports, tracking expenditures, analyzing budget variances, and supporting project managers with accurate cost projections and financial insights. The Project Cost Controller will coordinate with finance, procurement, and project teams to validate cost data, manage cost-related documentation, and contribute to risk assessments and cost optimization initiatives. The role also involves supporting audits, maintaining compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations, and providing timely cost control updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Cost Control and Cost Management skills to monitor budgets, control expenditures, and support cost optimization.
- Candidates should possess solid Cost Accounting and Finance skills to prepare cost reports, analyze financial data, and ensure accurate project financial records.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret cost trends, identify variances, and provide data-driven recommendations to project teams.
- Relevant bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in project cost control within construction or infrastructure projects is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and project cost management software, with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and basic contract and procurement principles.
