Programming Support (Java)

Role Description The Programming Support (Java) role is a contract, on-site position based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role focuses on providing technical and programming support for Java-based applications, including diagnosing issues, analyzing root causes, and implementing fixes or workarounds. Daily responsibilities include responding to internal and external support requests, reproducing reported problems, reviewing logs, and collaborating with development teams to resolve defects or performance issues. The role also involves assisting users or clients in understanding system behavior, documenting resolutions, and suggesting enhancements to improve application stability and usability. The individual in this position will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and clear communication about system status and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical and functional issues.
• Ability to provide effective technical support for Java applications, including basic code review and environment configuration.
• Experience in customer support, with a focus on delivering clear, respectful, and solution-oriented assistance.
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with users, clients, and technical teams.
• Proficient troubleshooting skills for application errors, performance problems, and integration issues.
• Familiarity with Java, SQL, and common application servers or frameworks (e.g., Spring) is highly beneficial.
• Understanding of software development life cycle, version control tools, and issue tracking systems (e.g., Git, Jira).
• Ability to work on-site in Jakarta, Indonesia, and collaborate within cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in a technical support or programming support role is an advantage.
