Job Description

Background

Yayasan Visi Indonesia Raya Emisi Nol Bersih (ViriyaENB) was established with a vision of a net zero society underpinned by an equitable and regenerative economy in Indonesia. We support efforts with cross-cutting approaches to achieve net-zero emissions by midcentury in the energy-related sectors including power, industry, transport and buildings.

As we continue to expand our work and impact, we are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative, and dynamic Programme Officer (Drive Electric Indonesia) to join our growing team as full-time staff members. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in programme management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic implementation within Indonesia's climate and energy transition landscape.

Position Summary

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, adaptable, and eager to learn, with a strong commitment to ViriyaENB's mission. The Programme Officer will report directly to the Drive Electric Indonesia Lead and work closely with the Programme Team.

Responsibilities

The Programme Officer is responsible for the following primary duties:

  • Programme coordination:
  • Assist the Programme Manager in implementing programme strategies to ensure the alignment of activities with the foundation's goals.
  • Analyze data and provide insights to assist the Program Manager or Program Director in executing strategic decision-making, ensuring successful strategy implementation.
  • Coordinate logistics and organise programme activities or programme events, including coordination, scheduling, and material preparation.
  • Act as a liaison between the grantee partners and Programme Manager to ensure operational priorities are communicated and addressed effectively.

  • Grant management:
  • Coordinate the solicitation and review of concept notes and proposals, providing initial assessments of alignment with programmatic objectives.
  • Support grantee partners throughout grantmaking processes by preparing relevant documentation and ensuring compliance with programme requirements.
  • Prepare high-quality programme documentation, including progress reports, evaluations, and impact assessments, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Synthesise insights and lessons learned from programme activities for internal and external reporting.
  • Maintain and update a programme database to support data-driven decision making.

  • Ecosystem management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with grantee partners, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and programme effectiveness.
  • Participate in workshops and meetings, providing programme updates and gathering feedback to inform improvements.
  • Support the Programme Manager in facilitating collaboration among partners to ensure alignment of programme activities.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in relevant fields (e.g. Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Energy, Transport, etc.), with at least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience. Having a degree and/or experience in the transportation sector is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to support programme logistics, administrative tasks, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Hands-on experience in administering document preparation or data management.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both in-person and virtual settings.
  • Adaptable, proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using project coordination tools and digital databases.
  • Committed to excellence, integrity, and continuous learning.

Location

This position is based in ViriyaENB's office in South Jakarta.

Position type

This is a 3-year fixed-term contract position, with the potential for extension based on performance.
