About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Production Team Leader to oversee daily operations in our automotive manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for supervising production teams, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the Body Shop, Paint Shop, and General Assembly in line with VinFast's global standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 35 years of hands-on experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end car manufacturing processes, particularly in Body Shop, Paint Shop, and General Assembly.
- Proven leadership skills with experience supervising frontline teams in production settings.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S principles.
- Strong understanding of production workflow, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Able to interpret technical drawings and production schedules.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and proficient in English.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production team members in designated shop areas (Body, Paint, or GA).
- Ensure production targets, product quality, and safety standards are met consistently.
- Monitor equipment operation and workflow to prevent disruptions and improve efficiency.
- Lead the team in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Provide coaching, on-the-job training, and performance feedback to team members.
- Support and implement continuous improvement projects in assigned shop areas.
- Maintain accurate production reports and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety regulations.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, maintenance, and quality departments to optimize production outcomes.
