Overview Of The Position
Responsible for overseeing and monitoring daily production activities within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures production targets are achieved efficiently by optimizing manpower, monitoring production performance, and maintaining smooth operations on the production floor. The Production Supervisor is also expected to support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold operational excellence by implementing effective processes and fostering a productive and disciplined work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control daily production line performance to ensure targets are achieved.
- Ensure production output meets the required quantity and quality standards.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate production leaders, technicians, operators, and support staff to achieve manufacturing goals.
- Manage manpower allocation effectively to avoid bottlenecks and ensure smooth production flow.
- Ensure all production operators are properly trained and adhere to work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and processes to deliver high-quality products to customers.
- Maintain workforce discipline by monitoring attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company rules and regulations.
- Coordinate with relevant departments (e.g., QA, Engineering, Planning, Warehouse) to support production requirements.
- Monitor and be responsible for key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, OTD (On-Time Delivery), 5S, and safety.
- Identify areas for improvement and support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing).
- Report production performance and issues to management in a timely manner.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical & Electronic, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing/production and as a production supervisor.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English (Mandarin is a plus!).
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Able to work under pressure and handle production-related issues effectively.
- Positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
