About the Role

This position plays an important role in planning and controlling production planning and inventory management so that the production process runs on time, efficiently, and according to market demand.

Responsibilities

Production Planning

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on forecasts and sales orders.
  • Ensure production capacity meets demand requirements.
  • Coordinate changes to production schedules if there are changes in demand or production conditions.

Inventory Control

  • Control inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods.
  • Ensure proper implementation of safety stock and reorder points.
  • Control and reduce slow-moving and dead stock.

Operational Coordination

  • Coordinate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse to ensure material readiness.
  • Ensure material availability before production begins.
  • Identify and control potential planning bottlenecks.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare reports on actual production compared to the production plan.
  • Conduct production and inventory variance analysis.
  • Develop production planning systems and methods to improve efficiency.

Compliance and System Improvement

  • Ensure that the PPIC process is in accordance with company SOPs and audit standards (ISO/FSSC 22000).

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in PPIC, with experience as a Production Supervisor being an added advantage.
  • Specific experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry is highly preferred.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel for data analysis).
  • Forecasting and inventory control skills.
  • In-depth understanding of Supply Chain Management and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Understanding of food production processes and raw material/packaging inventory management.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with various teams (production, sales, procurement).
  • Detail-oriented and possessing strong analytical skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Organized.
  • Strong leadership skills.
