Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve assembly production processes (Trim, Chassis, Final Assembly) to achieve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Productivity targets.
- Analyze production issues and implement effective countermeasures using root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
- Lead process improvement and KAIZEN activities to improve productivity, ergonomics, quality, and manufacturing cost.
- Develop and update production documentation, including Process Charts, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions, QCPC, FMEA, and Standard Work.
- Review and optimize manpower allocation, line balancing, cycle time, and production capacity.
- Support production quality improvement by analyzing defect trends and implementing preventive actions together with Production and Quality teams.
- Coordinate engineering changes (ECN/ECR), model changes, and process modifications with Mazda Japan and related departments.
- Plan, evaluate, and implement production equipment improvements, modifications, and preventive measures to improve equipment reliability.
- Support new model introduction, Trial Tooling, Pilot Production, and process validation activities when required.
- Monitor production KPIs and prepare engineering reports related to productivity, quality, cost reduction, and process performance.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding equipment improvement, spare parts, tooling maintenance, and technical support.
- Support operator training and ensure production processes comply with Mazda manufacturing standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.
- Candidates with 2 years or more of experience in Production Engineering within the automotive manufacturing industry are preferred.
- Experience in Trim, Chassis, Final Assembly, or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.
- Good understanding of assembly manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing concepts.
- Experience in process improvement, KAIZEN, line balancing, manpower planning, and cycle time analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using QC tools (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto, etc.).
- Familiar with PFMEA, Control Plan, QCPC, Standardized Work, and process documentation.
- Experience with production equipment improvement, troubleshooting, and project implementation is an advantage.
- Able to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficient in Solidwork is an advantage.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Able to work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchasing, and suppliers.
- Must be willing and able to work fully offline/on-site at the Mazda Indonesia Plant in Citeureup, Bogor.
