Responsibilities
Product Payment Manager is plays a crucial role in shaping and delivering high-quality, scalable, and compliant payment solutions. The role demands a blend of technical knowledge, product strategy, industry insight, and customer focus. This person is a strategic leader and execution driver, ensuring that payment products not only meet client needs but also evolve with market and regulatory demands.
Requirements
- Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for payment-related products (e.g., payment gateways, VA, e-wallet integration, QRIS, POS, card acquiring, etc.).
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, user needs, and business opportunities in the payments ecosystem.
- Align product goals with company's strategic objectives and business targets.
- Product Design & Development
- Collaborate with engineering, UI/UX, and business analysts to define detailed product requirements (PRD, BRD, user stories).
- Ensure integration with banks, third-party processors, and payment networks is secure and efficient.
- Prioritize feature development based on ROI, customer impact, and feasibility.
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main liaison between business stakeholders (sales, marketing, legal, compliance) and technical teams.
- Work with clients to understand their payment integration needs and translate them into actionable features.
- Maintain close relationships with partner banks, payment networks (Visa, Mastercard), and e-wallet providers.
- Product Lifecycle Management
- Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to sunset.
- Own the release process, including testing, go-live coordination, and post-deployment support.
- Monitor product performance (technical and business), ensuring SLAs are met.
- Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure all payment products comply with relevant regulations (e.g., Bank Indonesia, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to embed security, risk, and regulatory considerations in product design.
- Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Use data analytics to track product KPIs: transaction volume, success rate, error rate, revenue, uptime.
- Run A/B testing, customer feedback loops, and optimization initiatives to enhance product experience.
- Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of Associate Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineer, or Payment Specialists.
- Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams and promote best practices in product management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Product, or related field.
- Professional certifications preferred: Certified Payments Professional (ETA CPP)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product management, preferably in payment systems, fintech, or banking.
- Proven track record of launching and scaling payment products.
- Experience working with IT system integrators or B2B technology providers is a strong advantage.
- Solid understanding with payment switch, e-money, payment gateway, acquiring, issuing, POS, and QRIS systems
- Solid understanding of payment ecosystems: card networks, VA, e-wallets, tokenization, settlement, reconciliation.
- Knowledge of APIs, RESTful services, and system integration.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Figma, etc.).
- Familiarity with ISO 8583, EMV, PCI-DSS, OAuth2, etc.
- Data analysis: SQL, Excel, dashboards (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
