Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly driven Product Owner to lead product delivery within a dynamic banking environment. This role is responsible for defining product vision, managing the product backlog, and delivering high-quality, customer-centric solutions through Agile methodologies.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technology partners to ensure successful delivery of enterprise-scale initiatives while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Define, communicate, and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with business and Hive objectives
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring well-defined and refined user stories
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align business goals and technology delivery
- Lead Agile squads to deliver impactful features balancing quality, speed, and business value
- Ensure squads understand the purpose, goals, and strategic direction of the product
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Retrospectives, etc.)
- Drive continuous improvement and adoption of Agile best practices (DoR, DoD)
- Identify and mitigate risks, remove blockers, and improve delivery efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks relevant to banking operations
- Champion a customer-centric approach in all product decisions
- May act as a Chapter Lead, driving capability development across Product Owners
Required Skills & ExperienceMust-Have- 4–8 years of experience in Product Ownership / Product Management / similar role
- Experience in banking product delivery using Agile frameworks
- Strong knowledge of:
- Tech Debt management
- Software Product Delivery
- Enterprise Change Delivery
- Proven experience working in global or diverse organizations (8+ years overall exposure preferred)
- Hands-on experience leading 1–2 initiatives or squads
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
- Experience in:
- Identifying skill gaps and delivery risks
- Industry benchmarking for technical capabilities
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a data-driven mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Leadership ability to influence teams and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment
Good to Have- Familiarity with SDLC processes and enterprise delivery models
- Experience with product tools and techniques:
- User Story Mapping
- Personas
- MVP definition
- Product Roadmapping
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in banking
Certifications (Preferred)- PSPO I / PSPO II
- CSPO
- Other Agile / Product Management certifications
