About the Role
The Product Manager exists to ensure that they deliver products that are valuable,
viable, usable, and feasible for the merchant partners and the business. This role drives
the end-to-end product lifecycle — from product discovery and research to launch and
continuous improvement — to ensure alignment between customer needs, market
opportunities, business strategy, and engineering capacity. By balancing user experience,
revenue opportunities, compliance considerations and technical constraints, the Product
Manager plays a critical role in shaping and sustaining their growth trajectory and
competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
Duty 1: Own and drive the product roadmap
- How to Perform: Map out the product roadmap, business models, and strategies for driving revenue and customer value. Build compelling narratives that influence decisions across the org and justify prioritization choices.
- Tools/Technologies Used: Productboard, Jira, Figma, Google Workspace, Confluence.
- Frequency: Ongoing; roadmap reviews performed quarterly.
- Expected Outcome/Deliverable: Clear roadmap aligned to business strategy with documented prioritization and stakeholder sign-offs.
Duty 2: Lead product discovery and design sprints
- How to Perform: Partner with Product Design and cross-functional stakeholders to conduct user research, define problems, ideate solutions, and select experiments/features to pursue.
- Tools/Technologies Used: Figma, usability testing platforms, Miro, customer research tools.
- Frequency: Monthly discovery cycles or per major feature.
- Expected Outcome/Deliverable: Validated problem spaces and prioritized prototypes with insight-driven rationale.
Duty 3: Define product requirements and success metrics
- How to Perform: Translate customer and business requirements into detailed product requirements and measurable success KPIs; align metrics with management.
- Tools/Technologies Used: PRDs, analytics dashboards (Quicksight, Tableau).
- Frequency: Per product or feature release.
- Expected Outcome/Deliverable: Signed-off product specifications and success metrics documented in PRDs.
Duty 4: Manage product development with Engineering
- How to Perform: Influence teams without authority, contribute to sprint planning, facilitate rituals, resolve prioritization conflicts, unblock dependencies, and ensure execution excellence.
- Tools/Technologies Used: Jira, Slack, Confluence, agile/lean methodologies.
- Frequency: Daily.
- Expected Outcome/Deliverable: On-time delivery of scoped product increments aligned with roadmap goal
Duty 5: Manage regulatory and financial implications of product decisions
- How to Perform: Collaborate with finance, risk, and compliance to evaluate product exposure, pricing implications, cashflow effects and adherence to BSP and other regulatory standards.
- Tools/Technologies Used: Internal pricing models, risk controls, compliance checklists.
- Frequency: Per feature and major update.
- Expected Outcome/Deliverable: Product releases that are compliant, risk-managed and commercially sound.
Duty 6: Drive go-to-market and stakeholder success
- How to Perform: Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and partner teams to craft product launches, narratives and adoption strategies.
- Tools/Technologies Used: GTM launch plans, stakeholder briefs, onboarding playbooks.
- Frequency: Per launch cycle.
- Expected Outcome/Deliverable: Successful product launches supported by strong internal readiness and partner enablement
