Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cable assembly and wire harness based on customer specifications.
• Create engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD software.
• Select appropriate materials, connectors, and components.
• Conduct simulations, testing, and validation to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.
• Lead and support projects from concept to production, including planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing and resolve design or process issues.
• Implement design changes and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with quality teams on non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Work with suppliers to source components and maintain reliable supply chains.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 35 years of experience as a product engineer in cable assembly / wire harness or PCBA manufacturer
• Professional proficiency in English is a must
• Communicative in Mandarin would be great advantage
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of materials, connectors, and industry standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620, UL, ISO).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
• Familiarity with SAP/MES systems, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement is a plus
• Willing to be placed at Batam.
