The Product Developer is responsible for developing, enhancing, and optimizing printed products to meet customer requirements, align with market trends, and comply with production capabilities.
This role bridges customer needs, design, materials, and manufacturing processes to ensure products are innovative, cost-effective, and manufacturable at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Innovation
- Develop new printed products, structures, and finishes based on customer briefs, market trends, and technical feasibility
- Improve existing products to enhance quality, performance, cost efficiency, and sustainability
- Conduct product trials, testing, and validation in collaboration with production and quality teams
Technical & Material Management
- Select and evaluate raw materials (paper, film, ink, coating, adhesive, etc.) based on functional and aesthetic requirements
- Define product specifications including material structure, color standards, tolerances, and performance criteria
- Support color management, print quality optimization, and process capability improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Production, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams during product development
- Provide technical support during customer discussions, trials, and problem-solving activities
- Coordinate with suppliers and external partners for material development and qualification
Documentation & Standardization
- Prepare and maintain technical documents such as product specifications, BOM, SOPs, and trial reports
- Ensure product compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and relevant regulations
