At DUA Lighting, we design and manufacture custom decorative lighting for hospitality, commercial, and residential projects. We are looking for a detail-oriented Product Development Specialist who can bridge the gap between design and production.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who understands how products are built—not just how they are designed.
Key Requirements
- Strong understanding of interior and furniture materials, including their properties, applications, fabrication methods, and finishing processes.
- Proven experience in the furniture industry, custom furniture, interior fit-out, joinery, or related manufacturing environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to review specifications, technical drawings, construction details, and product requirements accurately.
- Solid understanding of the product development process, from concept development and material selection through prototyping, testing, and production implementation.
- Ability to identify potential production challenges early and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Experience collaborating with design, sourcing, supplier, and production teams to ensure products are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing furniture, decorative, or custom-made products.
- Familiarity with BOM (Bill of Materials), product costing, and material sourcing.
- Strong interest in materials, construction methods, and manufacturing processes.
