Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end product development processfrom concept ideation, consumer-driven feasibility, and formulation strategy to commercial launchensuring alignment with brand vision, market trends, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with external manufacturers, fragrance houses, and R&D partners to define product benchmarks, guide formulation, and optimize raw material and packaging selection with consumer appeal in mind.
  • Develop comprehensive product briefs that capture functional claims, target consumer insights, hero ingredients, pricing goals, and brand positioning alongside regulatory considerations.
  • Analyze COGS, material cost structures, and financial feasibility to ensure profitability, while balancing innovation with market competitiveness.
  • Oversee technical documentation, testing protocols, and regulatory submissions to meet both local and international compliance (e.g., BPOM).
  • Translate consumer insights into compelling product narratives and claims in close collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Monitor development milestones through clear documentation (submission logs, evaluation records, stability testing) and proactively resolve challenges.
  • Support the BOD in portfolio planning, pricing strategy, and building a consumer-centric innovation roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 to 4 years of proven experience in product development within the fragrance, beauty, skincare, or personal care industry.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with proven experience in cost modeling, COGS analysis, margin optimization, and business case development.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple product launches and cross-functional coordination across technical and commercial teams.
  • Excellent project management capabilities, with the ability to lead timelines, sample evaluations, and end-to-end product pipelines.
  • High attention to detail, a strong sense of aesthetics, and a passion for innovation in fragrance and lifestyle brands.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, with strong interpersonal skills across internal stakeholders and external partners.
