As a Product Development & China Sourcing Specialist, you will lead the end-to-end sourcing and product development pipeline; from discovering new products, identifying reliable factories, negotiating aggressively, to ensuring fast and flawless production.
This is a high-impact role working directly with our CEO and contributing to core revenue growth.
What You'll Do
Daily Responsibilities (High Workload & Fast-Paced)
- Send 2030 RFQs per day to factories across China.
- Evaluate 812 factories per product based on quality, pricing, capacity, and lead time.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQ, sample costs, and production timelines with 10+ suppliers daily.
- Benchmark materials and construction across fabric, leather, foam, plywood, mechanisms, hardware, and more.
- Build and maintain a highly reliable, pre-vetted supplier database.
- Perform 23 daily production follow-ups to prevent delays and ensure smooth manufacturing.
- Coordinate shipments with forwarders (DDP / FCL / LCL) on a daily basis.
- Review product samples and prepare detailed evaluation reports (photos, dimensions, defects, finishing).
- Troubleshoot production issues including delays, defects, material changes, and structural errors.
- Improve packaging standards to reduce damages and customer complaints.
Weekly Responsibilities
- Secure 58 new high-quality factories each week.
- Conduct market and competitor research to generate 35 new product ideas weekly.
- Build landing cost, cost breakdown, and margin analysis for 1015 SKUs.
- Review supplier performance and develop improvement strategies.
Monthly Responsibilities
- Launch 812 new products from concept sourcing sampling final approval
- Perform supplier quality audits (via China QC team or online review)
- Optimize product costs to improve profit margins by 510% monthly
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Merchandising, or related fields
- 13 years experience in sourcing, product development, merchandising, procurement, or supply chain
- Fluent English is required; Mandarin proficiency (spoken & written) is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Extremely detail-oriented with strong time management and multi-tasking capabilities
- Tech-savvy, structured, and highly organized
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure, data-driven environments
- Bachelor's degree in any field (preferred)
