About this Job :
This role will be as Tech Pull lead for Indonesia, working closely with another regional team to translate and scale Innovations into affordable, locally relevant solutions and to build in-market lab and innovation capabilities. In the nutshell the success candidate will be hands on:
• Engage with Regional team to lead as primary driver counterpart for Indonesia local pipeline development with deep technical understanding counterpart
• Translate the Technology into clear actionable development briefs for ensuring alignment across the R&D team and priorities the technology.
• Execute briefs through to tangible prototypes and validated solutions. Prototype and iterate ideas to prove feasibility, working closely with Engineering on process validation to the-risk scale-up and generate clear recommendations for inclusion in the Indonesia innovation pipeline.
• Identify, shape, and localize innovations for the Indonesia market by pulling through global ideas and scouting additional opportunities.
• Develop them to a technology package ready for commercialization in partnership with across R&D Team and Tier leads, before handing over to the relevant Tier Lead. Partner with Tier Leads to finalize product specifications for launch.
• Build and sustain Indonesia lab capabilities with Lab Manager: New equipment roadmap, new method development and validation, and ways of working that enable fast, high‑quality experimentation and benchmarking.
• Establish and lead an innovative cadence (e.g., regular cross-functional brainstorms, concepting sprints, rapid prototyping cycles, new test method development) to continuously feed and sharpen the pipeline.
Requirement & Competencies:
• Bachelor's or master's Degree from Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Industrial Engineer or any relevant educational background.
• 3–6 years of product development experience (or equivalent) on FMCG ; experience with diaper or sanitary product categories is preferred.
• Familiar with CAPEX trade-offs and basic cost breakdowns.
• Able to build rapport quickly across R&D, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing; seen as an approachable connector.
• Strong project follow-through reliably takes a brief from idea to validated technology package, under guidance from the across another regional R&D Team.
• Able to structure work, track actions, and keep stakeholders informed without heavy supervision.
• Enjoys hands-on lab and trial work, including method development, documentation, and continuous improvement of how the lab runs.
