Description

Procurement Specialist main responsibility is to administer and excecute procurement of goods and services to ensure that goods and services are obtained in the most economic, effective and efficient process to the best interest of the Company, within the framework of quality and delivery required, while maintaining the highest standards of professional integrity in all transactions.

Responsibilities

  1. Reviews and ensures the accuracy and completeness of incoming PR, adequacy of scope of work and any other exhibits, develops and reviews RFQ, and supervises procurement process in accordance with Procurement Procedures.
  2. Reviews and ensures Purchase Order (PO), Service Order (SO), Contract, and any other agreements prior to obtaining approvals.
  3. Interfaces with Suppliers to find solutions should problems occur and seek advises from Supervisor if necessary.
  4. Jointly conduct assessment, with Performance group, on Supplier's performance and provide comments.
  5. Provides consultancy services to Users on source of material supplies, prices, availability, and general market trends.
  6. Having experience in outsourcing material especially electrical, instrument, electronic component, equipment, and supplies.
  7. Ensures that the procurement of material meet specification, quality requirement and delivery schedule.
  8. Proceed contractual requirement for long term contract material supplies.
  9. Perform other procurement activities as required by Procurement Procedures.
  10. Implements systems and procedures required for an effective and efficient procurement process.

General requirements

  1. At minimum, a bachelor's degree (in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other relevant disciplines) from a top-tier university with consistent outstanding academic record.
  2. 5 years of relevant job and field work experience in energy industry or geothermal industry is preferred.
  3. Demonstrated project management skill, including developing a project plan, schedule, dependency identification, status reporting, and issue resolution.
  4. Strong communication and negotiation skills
  5. Knowledge on electrical and instrument material
  6. Familiar with ERP system and business process (SAP is preferable)
  7. Intermediate to advance user for Microsoft Office, such as: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  8. Good oral and written communications in English.
