Qualification Criteria

• University degree, preferably in a Business-related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Proficiency in English
• 7+ years of professional experience, with at least 4+ years of experience in Procurement, preferably with exposure to Direct Procurement and the sourcing of key materials or commodities.
• International experience from a multinational company
• Strong organizational, project management and financial analysis skills
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Experience with procurement platforms, preferably SAP Ariba

Main Purpose of the Job

Develop, support and execute category strategies and sourcing plans to maximize value for the business, achieve budget objectives and proactively manage suppliers, stakeholders and risks. Lead the execution of direct materials category strategies, taking into consideration local market dynamics, supplier diversification, contract management and order cycle management to ensure alignment with business and demand planning requirements.

Manage and develop a team of local category managers and procurement operations executives, with accountability for team performance, capability building and people management.

Act as a role model in supplier and stakeholder management, fostering a one procurement mindset across local, regional and global procurement teams.

Advocate and foster sustainable procurement, including CSR, and drive continuous improvement practices in alignment with the overall organizational strategy and external benchmarks.

Accountabilities and Deliverables

1. Implement the Procurement purpose, vision, strategies and governance.
2. Manage and develop the local procurement team, overseeing the definition and execution of functional goals. Promote a one team spirit to enable best practices, knowledge, synergies and leverage.
3. Support development of market category strategy by aligning and outlining local business needs with regional/global category requirements, facilitating implementation including contracting and allocating resources as required.
4. As a member of the regional Procurement Leadership Team, define functional goals and the Procurement strategy/governance while contributing to development and recognition of the function internally and externally.
5. Ensure adherence to defined Procurement policies, procedures, governance and systems locally. Create risk awareness within the team, ensure compliance and initiate corrective actions in case of deviations.
6. Contribute to procurement operational and transactional excellence.
7. Build strong internal stakeholder relationships and ensure business satisfaction with the procurement organization and supplier performance.
8. Act as a change ambassador for continuous improvement in sourcing, governance, people management and value delivery. Lead discussions with internal stakeholders to identify further Integrated Spend Management/Total Cost of Ownership opportunities. Support the local business in defining their plans, budgets and strategies.
9. Ensure supplier management is executed appropriately according to the SRM strategy, including monitoring supplier performance and quality assurance.
10. Deliver against targets, monitor and track results, and initiate actions in case of deviations.
11. Be an advocate of Procurement's sustainability, including CSR, and innovation agenda in sourcing strategies and projects.
12. Manage the functional budget as agreed with the Regional Procurement Director
