Company Description

PT. AGL Shipping Indonesia as a member of the MSC Group. We are looking for a Procurement & Vendor Management Coordinator to support our shipping agency operations through effective procurement, vendor management, cost control, and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement of goods and services required for vessel operations and shipping agency activities.
  • Full support and direct report to Indonesia Head of Shipping Agency Operations in sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and local agents across Indonesian ports.
  • Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate procurement requirements for vessel husbandry, crew services, spare parts, fresh water, bunker coordination, transportation, accommodation, port services, and other operational needs.
  • Maintain an updated approved vendor/supplier database and monitor vendor performance.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, payment conditions, service agreements, and rates with vendors.
  • Monitor procurement costs against approved budget, quotation, EPDA, and Disbursement Account (DA).
  • Ensure all purchases and vendor appointments comply with company procedures, QHSE requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Commercial, and local agents to ensure smooth procurement and payment processes.
  • Verify vendor quotations, invoices, supporting documents, and service completion before submission to Finance.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, cost benchmarking, and market surveys.
  • Identify opportunities for cost saving, supplier consolidation, and operational efficiency.
  • Support in resolving vendor-related issues, service failures, and commercial disputes.

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Background, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, vendor management, logistics, shipping, or maritime operations.
  • Experience in shipping agency, port operations, marine services, or vessel husbandry is highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes, vendor negotiation, cost control, and supplier evaluation.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work under pressure and tight operational deadlines.
  • Willing to coordinate with vendors and operational teams across multiple Indonesian ports.
  • Proactive, commercially aware, and customer-oriented with a strong commitment to service quality.
