About the Role

The Global Operations Capability Program develops future capability specialists who can be deployed across Filtrona's manufacturing network to support operational stabilization, capability transfer, startup activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic transformation projects. Participants will be based in designated development hubs and are expected to undertake short-term and long-term assignments globally to support business needs.

Purpose of the Job

Develop deep expertise in manufacturing processes and equipment technologies to support operational excellence, process optimization, capability transfer, and site stabilization activities across Filtrona's manufacturing network.

Role and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop expertise in assigned manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Support process optimization and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Support startup, ramp-up, and stabilization activities.
  • Conduct process capability assessments and improvement projects.
  • Support training and capability transfer to local teams.
  • Participate in cross-site technical projects and best practice sharing.

Success Measures

  • Process capability improvements.
  • OEE improvement contribution.
  • Waste reduction contribution.
  • Successful deployment assignments.
  • Capability transfer effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Quality Management, or equivalent discipline.
  • Strong academic foundation in manufacturing, operations, or process improvement.
  • Tobacco industry background preferred.
  • 2–5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in a production, engineering, quality, or operational environment.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives, problem solving, or cross-functional projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret operational data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and operational workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data analysis tools and SAP.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, IWS, or equivalent methodologies preferred.
