Printing Tooling Technician

Position Introductory:

A Tooling Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of tooling systems, RDC, Creasing Embossing and related equipment to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations

Responsibilities:

• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble rotary diesy
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on RDC tooling and Mold.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to die-cutting and converting equipment
• Prepare and install tooling for production runs, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
• Support operators with complex or precision setups.
• Stage tooling to minimize downtime and ensure efficient changeovers.
• Track tooling lifecycle, repairs,
• Document tooling changes and performance improvements.
• Inspect tooling for wear, damage, and conformance to specifications

Qualifications

• Diploma or trade certification in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, or related field.
• Experience 2–3 years in tooling maintenance, preferably in RDC, die-cutting, or printing environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, micrometers, calipers, dial gauges, and gap gauges.
• Possess a positive personality and be able to approach people at all levels.
• Able to speak English both orally and in writing.
