We Are Looking For

As the Principal IT Infrastructure Engineer (Operations), you will provide technical domain expertise across IT systems, network infrastructure, and data center operations. You will ensure that all IT systemsincluding servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and backup systemsare designed, operated, and maintained in accordance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and operational reliability objectives.

This role serves as a technical authority within the Operations team, supporting multiple sites or projects, reviewing IT infrastructure changes, providing engineering governance, driving standardization, and promoting best practices across the organization. You will guide IT engineers, oversee troubleshooting and major incident resolution, and recommend improvements to maximize uptime, security, and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical authority for IT infrastructure, providing guidance to IT engineers and Operations teams.
  • Ensure reliable operation of servers, storage, network, virtualization, and backup systems across data center sites.
  • Lead incident investigation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for complex IT infrastructure issues.
  • Oversee capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimization of IT systems to ensure uptime and efficiency.
  • Review and approve IT system changes, upgrades, and deployments in line with change management procedures.
  • Develop, update, and enforce SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs for IT operations and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for IT projects, upgrades, and major maintenance.
  • Support security, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to IT infrastructure.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, cost optimization, and energy-efficient IT operations.
  • Mentor and train IT engineers and operations staff, sharing knowledge and best practices across sites.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline.
  • 510 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure operations, preferably in data centers or critical facilities.
  • Deep knowledge of servers, storage systems, networking, virtualization, backup, and monitoring tools.
  • Strong experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and IT incident management.
  • Familiarity with BMS/DCIM interfaces, IT security, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams.
