Pre-k Mandarin Teacher

Role Description The Pre-K Mandarin Teacher is a part-time, on-site position based in Jakarta. This role involves delivering age-appropriate Mandarin language instruction to preschool learners through play-based and interactive activities. The teacher will plan and implement daily lessons, create engaging classroom materials, and integrate language learning with early childhood development goals. Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, communicating regularly with families and colleagues, and participating in school events and professional development. The teacher will collaborate with other educators to align lessons with the school's curriculum and uphold safety and well-being standards for all learners.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education, with experience working with preschool or kindergarten-age children.
• Skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, with the ability to design structured, age-appropriate Mandarin learning activities.
• Demonstrated Teaching experience in a classroom setting, preferably in international or bilingual schools.
• Knowledge of kindergarten learning principles and child development, with the ability to support social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) and good command of English for communication with staff and families.
• Relevant degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Language Education, or a related field.
• Strong classroom management, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment and openness to ongoing professional development.
