We are looking for an Operational Manager to join our PU foam injection molding manufacturing plant for automotive car seats. In this role, you will have the opportunity to focus on your area of strength, whether its Production, Quality, or Engineering, while still taking a leadership role in ensuring the overall success of plant operations. You will play a key role in achieving performance targets, driving improvements, and building a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire plant operations across Production, Quality, or Engineering, ensuring smooth, efficient, and reliable performance every day.
- Deliver results by meeting production, efficiency, cost, and delivery targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators, providing clear insights and recommendations directly to Top Management.
- Optimize resources through smart budgeting, manpower planning, and effective allocation to maximize operational performance.
- Drive transformation by implementing Lean, Kaizen, and TPM initiatives that boost efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to ensure seamless operations across the plant.
- Stay proactive in identifying risks, solving problems quickly, and minimizing downtime to secure business continuity.
- Develop and empower teams through coaching, guidance, and motivation to unlock their full potential.
- Be the bridge between plant operations and Top Management, ensuring transparency, alignment, and forward-looking strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing.
- Strong track record in managing plant operations, achieving targets, and improving manufacturing efficiency.
- Proven experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, TPM, or similar).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety compliance in the automotive or related industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments and with Top Management.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- Ability to take on new challenges.
- Ability to work under pressure and time-sensitive conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Engineering or related fields.
- At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role within Production, Quality, or Engineering.
- Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Professional certifications in operations, production, or quality management (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, TPM).
- Language proficiency certifications such as TOEFL, IELTS, JLPT, HSK, or others.
- Additional professional certifications that demonstrate technical or leadership expertise relevant to this role.
