Smailing Tour is a leading travel agency specializing in Corporate Travel Management, Meetings & Events (MICE), and curated travel experiences. We are seeking a dynamic, target-driven, and relationship-focused Pilgrimage Tour Sales Specialist to expand and manage our specialized spiritual and pilgrimage travel portfolio. In this role, you will drive sales, build partnerships with religious communities or groups, and design tailored pilgrimage packages to ensure exceptional service execution. This position is ideal for sales professionals who are passionate about religious tourism, customer-focused, and adept at closing corporate or group travel deals.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, sales leads, and partnerships with churches, religious communities, spiritual groups, and individual clients for pilgrimage packages
  • Proactively promote, pitch, and sell end-to-end pilgrimage tour programs (such as Holy Land, Vatican, Lourdes, and other spiritual destinations) to achieve sales targets
  • Consult with clients to understand their spiritual travel needs, presenting tailored group itineraries, pricing proposals, and competitive quotations
  • Coordinate closely with the operations and ticketing teams to ensure smooth execution of sold packages, flights, hotels, and ground handling
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, community leaders, tour leaders, and key stakeholders to encourage repeat business and referrals
  • Prepare sales reports, market analysis, and stay updated with competitor offerings, pilgrimage trends, and airline group policies
  • Assist clients with pre-sales inquiries, travel documentation requirements (visas, insurance), and payment coordination
Qualifications
  • Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree (S1) in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, Communication, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or as a travel consultant, preferably with a track record in handling group travel, MICE, or pilgrimage/holy tour products
  • Strong network or familiarity with religious communities, church groups, or spiritual organizations is a strong advantage
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a target-oriented mindset
  • Proficient in English (both written and spoken); mastery of additional languages is a plus
  • Highly organized, attentive to detail, and capable of managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales performance metrics
