PT Medco Power Geothermal Services (MPGS), one of the subsidiaries of Medco Power Indonesia (MPI), based in Ijen, East Java, is looking for professionals with the following qualifications:
Role & Responsibilities :
- Monitor, analyze and evaluate plant performance in terms of its efficiency, productivity, reliability, availability, safety, health, environment and cost. Recommend corrective actions for improvement as necessary
- Review and recommend changes in operation and maintenance methods and in design of system, equipment or components to maximize assets life, minimize operating cost and optimize performance and strengthen health, safety and environmental standards
- Support development and implementation of new projects in the plant as needed for improvement of plant performance by interfacing with the different sections like operations, maintenance, contractors and vendors
- Gather data in cooperation with the operations in conducting the annual plant capacity and other performance testing
- Analyze the performance of existing plant operation and maintenance standards and benchmark against best practice.
- Review emerging technologies and materials to ensure that power plant operation and maintenance standards are aligned to best industry practice
- Undertake detailed calculations, research and analysis on options for the improvement of plant efficiencies
- Assist with formulation of policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures for power plant assets operation and maintenance
- Prepare complex engineering reports and technical documentation subject for review
- Undertake project activities as required to develop operations and maintenance standards
- Make recommendations on use of, and development of engineering tools that assist with plant design and standards development
- Conduct comprehensive engineering investigations and analysis, and prepare recommendations to introduce new material and technologies into for plant operations and maintenance
- Develop and update technical specifications relating to power plant and provide technical evaluation of equipment purchased in relation to these specifications
- Demonstrate a personal commitment Safety, Health and Environmental Programs to ensure personal safety and the safety of others, a workplace free from discrimination and harassment and a philosophy of quality assurance and pollution prevention
Qualifications :
- Graduate of Bachelor Chemical Engineering Degree
- Minimum 5 years technical experience in power plants or similar heavy industry, including 2 years minimum at geothermal facilities
- Good knowledge of process control
- Good computer skills; MS Office is mandatory
- Good communication and reporting skills both verbal and in writing, specifically in English language
- Having experiences in multi-national project development performed in various countries is desirable but not essential
- Willing to relocate to : Ijen, East Java, Indonesia
