Pearson Edexcel IGCSE ICT Teacher

Role Description The Pearson Edexcel IGCSE ICT Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Jakarta. The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging Pearson Edexcel IGCSE ICT lessons, preparing teaching materials that align with the curriculum, and using appropriate assessment methods to monitor learner progress. Daily tasks include designing and updating lesson plans, providing clear explanations of ICT concepts, guiding learners through practical computer-based activities, and offering constructive feedback to support improvement. The teacher will maintain accurate records of student performance, contribute to exam preparation and revision sessions, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the ICT curriculum. Additional responsibilities may include participating in staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events, while fostering an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Possesses relevant teaching qualifications and credentials, preferably with experience teaching Pearson Edexcel or other international curricula.
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge in Information Technology and Computer Science, including practical skills in common software applications and digital tools.
• Shows proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum alignment, and assessment design to support varied learner needs and learning styles.
• Exhibits effective communication skills, including clear instructional delivery, constructive feedback, and professional collaboration with colleagues, learners, and families.
• Holds a bachelor's degree or higher in Education, ICT, Computer Science, or a related field; teaching certification in ICT or international education is an advantage.
• Experience teaching IGCSE or equivalent secondary-level ICT programs, with a track record of supporting learners toward strong examination outcomes.
• Ability to use technology-enhanced learning tools, learning management systems, and digital resources to enrich classroom instruction.
