Role Description The PE Teacher role at Beacon Academy Jakarta is a full-time, on-site position based in Jakarta. The PE Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate physical education lessons that promote fitness, motor skills, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits. Day-to-day tasks include designing and implementing sports activities, assessing student performance, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, and coordinating the use of sports facilities and equipment. The PE Teacher will collaborate with other educators to align physical education with the overall curriculum, support school events and sports programs, and communicate regularly with learners and families about progress and expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Physical Education and Education, with the ability to apply pedagogical best practices in a school setting.
- Proficiency in Teaching and Sports Coaching, including experience leading diverse groups of learners in individual and team activities.
- Experience with Curriculum Development for physical education or sports programs, including planning units, lessons, and assessments.
- Relevant degree or certification in Physical Education, Sports Science, Education, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive, safe, and motivating environment for learners of varying abilities.
- Effective communication and classroom management skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and families.
- Experience organizing school sports events, extracurricular activities, or teams is an advantage.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and align practice with the school's vision and values.
