Summary
- Manage the pastry & bakery production schedule, ensuring timely delivery of fresh and delicious pastries for service
- Train, mentor, and lead pastry &bakery team members, providing guidance and support in pastry &bakery techniques, recipes, and presentation
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and other team members to create seasonal menus and incorporate pastry offerings into the overall restaurant concept
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and ingredients.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria;
- Previous experience working as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role within a 5* hotel or high-end restaurant or pastry shop
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and flavor profiles
- Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks effectively
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet production and service deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to ensure compliance
