Job Description

Durianpay was established in 2020 with a vision to build a modern business payments stack that enhances both customer and merchant experiences in the region. Beyond payments, we provide a one-stop solution for checkout, promos, reconciliation, and more.

We are seeking a Partnership Senior Associate — Growth to join our Partnership team. This role focuses on acquiring new payment partners, driving commercial negotiations, and optimizing partnership economics to fuel Durianpay's revenue growth. You will conduct market research to identify new collaboration opportunities, lead commercial discussions with prospective and existing partners, and use data-driven analysis to ensure our partnerships deliver strong unit economics at scale.

Job description and responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential payment partners (banks, e-wallets, card networks) based on market share, technology capabilities, and pricing competitiveness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partner counterparts, enabling commercial momentum and timely decision-making on new integrations and expansions.
  • Support commercial discussions and negotiate partnership terms to secure favorable economics for Durianpay.
  • Analyze partner transaction performance, pricing models, and revenue margins to identify cost optimization and renegotiation opportunities.
  • Review business contracts and partnership agreements, flagging key commercial and compliance clauses with awareness of relevant regulations (e.g., PBI/POJK on payment systems).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Product, Legal, and Compliance teams to drive partner onboarding, integration readiness, and go-live execution.

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in commercial partnerships, business development, or revenue-focused roles in fintech, payments, or financial services.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the payment industry in Southeast Asia, including familiarity with e-wallets, virtual accounts, credit card rails, BI FAST, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa and English, with excellent presentation capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (multi-formula models, pivot tables, interactive dashboards) and PowerPoint for stakeholder presentations.
  • Ability to balance BAU tasks with ad-hoc requests, small projects, and cross-functional coordination under tight timelines.
  • Basic knowledge of business contracting — able to review agreements, flag key commercial and compliance clauses, and coordinate with Legal.
  • Based in Jakarta; willing to work from the office as required.
