Role Description This is a part-time hybrid role for a Cambridge Tutor for Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Math, and English based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with flexibility for some work from home. The tutor will conduct one-on-one and small group online and in-person sessions, following the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curricula. Day-to-day tasks include planning lessons, delivering engaging instruction, assigning and reviewing practice work, and providing constructive feedback on student progress. The tutor will track performance, prepare students for exams, communicate regularly with students and families, and adjust teaching strategies based on individual needs. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of sessions and schedules, and collaborating with the agency to ensure consistent quality standards.

Qualifications

• Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Algebra, with a solid understanding of Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level syllabi.
• Demonstrated experience in Tutoring and Online Tutoring, including the use of virtual classroom platforms and digital learning tools.
• Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles.
• Experience teaching Science and English at secondary school or pre-university level is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a relevant subject field (e.g., Mathematics, Science, English, or related disciplines).
• Proven ability to manage part-time schedules, maintain punctuality, and handle multiple students or classes responsibly.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; familiarity with Cambridge assessment standards is an advantage.
• Comfort with technology, including video conferencing tools, online resources, and digital assessment methods.
