Job Summary
The Expert Paper Production is responsible for supporting the commissioning, start-up, stabilization, and optimization of paper production processes at OKI 3 Paper. The role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality machine operation by providing technical expertise, troubleshooting production issues, optimizing process performance, and developing operational standards to achieve production and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of paper production equipment and systems.
- Optimize paper machine operations to achieve production, quality, efficiency, and reliability targets.
- Analyze production data and recommend process improvements to maximize productivity and reduce waste.
- Troubleshoot process, quality, and operational issues during commissioning and early production phases.
- Develop and standardize operating procedures, process parameters, and best practices for paper production.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Automation, Quality, and Commissioning teams to resolve technical issues.
- Train operators and production personnel on machine operation, process control, safety, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor key production indicators, including productivity, paper quality, energy consumption, and machine efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management standards throughout commissioning and operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pulp & Paper Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in paper production, with significant experience in paper machine commissioning, start-up, or optimization.
- Strong knowledge of paper manufacturing processes, stock preparation, wet end, press, dryer, sizing, coating (if applicable), reel, and winding operations.
- Experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, and production performance improvement.
- Familiarity with DCS/PLC-based process control systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- A contract-based during project phase, with a high chance of permanent during operation & maintenance phase.
- Willing to be placed in OKI, South Sumatra.
