Technical Competency (Must Have):
Oracle Retail MFCS Knowledge
- Overall knowledge & experience with Oracle Retail MFCS (Merchandising Financial Cloud Service) in Cloud environments.
- Descent understanding of core merchandising financial concepts such as item/location hierarchy, cost, retail, margin, stock ledger, and financial reconciliation.
- Experience in designing and developing Data Conversion scripts from other legacy systems into MFCS – areas including foundation data, Item & Supplier, Transactions (Open PO, Transfer, Allocation, Invoice etc.) & Stock Ledger.
- Ability to analyze MFCS data flows and ensure data integrity across upstream and downstream systems.
- Hands on experience in scripting PL/SQL to extract date from any legacy system.
Oracle Retail Functional Knowledge
- Descent functional understanding of Oracle Retail suite, including:
- RMS (Retail Merchandising System)
- SIM (Store Inventory Management)
- RPM (Retail Price Management)
- ReIM (Retail Invoice Matching)
- ReSA (Retail Sales Audit)
- Understanding of end-to-end retail business processes such as procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, pricing, promotions, and inventory lifecycle.
- Ability to understand Legacy business process and data needs to be translated into new MFCS system.
- Experience in studying Legacy applications, able to understand requirement of data set needs to be migrated into newly implemented ERP system
- Good level of understanding of Legacy data, requirement of cleansing those data before migrating into ERP system to have only meaningful information without having any redundancy.
- Strong knowledge on Data analysis & Data Profiling.
SQL / PLSQL
- Strong expertise in SQL and PLSQL for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyse complex queries, packages, procedures, and views used within Oracle Retail applications.
- Hands-on experience in resolving data issues related to financial postings, stock ledger, and accounting entries.
Unix Framework
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments used in Oracle Retail deployments.
Techno-Functional & Customer Interaction Skills
- Experience preparing Functional Design Documents (FDD) and Technical Design Documents (TDD) for Oracle Retail Data conversion solution.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across functional, technical, and data layers.
- Experience acting as SPOC for customer interactions, including requirement discussions, issue resolution, and status reporting.
Good to Have:
Additional Oracle Retail Cloud Applications
- Exposure to or working knowledge of other Oracle Retail Cloud modules, such as:
- Pricing
- ReIM
- ReSA
- SIOCS (Store Inventory Operations Cloud Service)
- Understanding of cross-module integrations and data synchronization within Oracle Retail Cloud ecosystem.
Implementation & Support Experience
- Experience in end-to-end Oracle Retail implementations, including requirement gathering, design, SIT/UAT support, and production go-live.
- Strong background in production support, including incident management, root-cause analysis, and service stabilization.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based support processes is an advantage.
Performance & Optimization
- Knowledge of SQL performance tuning techniques, including execution plan analysis and query optimization.
- Experience handling high-volume retail transactional and financial data.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud-based deployment, environments, and monitoring aspects related to Oracle Retail applications.
Soft Skills & Domain Exposure
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and provide functional guidance.
- Prior experience in fashion or specialty retail domain is a plus.
