TMS Consulting is seeking an experienced Oracle Engineer to support enterprise database implementation and high-availability setup across 2 Production and 2 Non-Production instances.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database & Oracle Grid Infrastructure (GI)
- Proven implementation experience in Oracle Data Guard (Physical Standby)
- RMAN backup & restore (database, controlfile, parameter file)
- Database restore & recovery execution (media recovery scenarios)
- Configure and optimize Oracle Data Guard parameters
- Start and manage MRP (Media Recovery Process)
- Ensure PrimaryStandby synchronization and validate Data Guard health
- Configure and troubleshoot TNS connectivity
- Implement archivelog management and deletion scheduler
- Experience handling Production environments with controlled downtime
- Strong troubleshooting capability for critical database incidents
- Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer
- Support short-term post go-live on-call period
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Oracle DBA
- Hands-on experience in Data Guard deployment or standby setup projects
- Comfortable working in consulting-driven, project-based environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills for coordination with internal and client teams
