Position based on Patimban Port, West Java | Full time, on-site
AGL (part of MSC) is one of the world's leading logistics operators, present in more than 40 countries.
In Indonesia we are building our trucking, container depot and freight forwarding operation around Patimban Port, the country's newest deep-sea gateway and the backbone of West Java's automotive export corridor.
You will be the senior AGL operational authority on the ground at Patimban, running the site day to day while designing the system that makes it work: the SOPs, the routes, the yard layout, the vendor network and the controls that protect service and margin.

What you will own
- Trucking operations at Patimban: dispatch, routing, fleet coordination and real-time control, delivered through your Transport Manager and control tower team
- Fleet productivity: zero unproductive idle time, strong trips-per-truck, disciplined cost per trip
- The vendor network : identifying, qualifying and managing trucking partners and rented fleet suppliers, and holding them to committed capacity and service standards
- SOPs: writing them, deploying them in Bahasa Indonesia at the point of use, auditing them, and making sure they are actually followed
- Optimisation : attacking waiting time at the gate, the terminal, the depot and the client site; finding root causes and removing them, with savings you can evidence
- Site infrastructure: container office, truck parking pool, yard circulation and facilities, including local procurement and supervision of small works
- Depot, warehousing and the inland legs of freight forwarding, including documentation flow with shipping lines, terminals and customs brokers
- The client relationship on the operational side: anticipating volumes, capturing feedback, leading the monthly performance review, and communicating exceptions before the client discovers them
- Commercial control: no order accepted outside an approved route and signed contract, no vendor invoice approved without validated trip data, no service delivered that goes unbilled
- Reporting: a daily operational dashboard for management, weekly KPI packs, and compliance with AGL Group standards
- Safety and compliance: vehicle and driver documentation validity, HSE discipline, and the authority to stop anything that presents an immediate risk
- Your team : supervising, developing and honestly assessing the Patimban workforce, and flagging resourcing needs early
What we are looking for
- S1 in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years in logistics or transport operations, including at least 3 years running a site, branch or operational team with cost accountability
- Proven track record in trucking operations and third-party vendor management
- Working knowledge of container depot and warehouse operations, and of freight forwarding documentation and inland coordination
- Demonstrated experience writing and enforcing SOPs and running structured operational improvement
- Strong operational reporting and dashboard skills; advanced Excel; experience with TMS, WMS or fleet tracking systems
- Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and professional working English
- Willing to be based at or near Patimban, Subang
Preferred
- Experience in the West Java industrial and port corridor
- Start-up or greenfield experience where the systems had to be built rather than inherited
- Familiarity with multinational compliance, HSE and reporting environments

You will report to the Head of Operations & Logistics with real decision rights: daily operational priorities, dispatch approval, vendor performance calls, SOP content, and the authority to refuse an order or ground a unit. You will be building the operating model for one of Indonesia's most strategically important ports, inside a global group that will back you with standards, systems and scale.
