Lead and manage the entire palm oil mill operations, from Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) reception to processing of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palm Kernel (PK), including waste management and machinery maintenance.
Ensure production targets are achieved efficiently and effectively, while maintaining high standards of quality, quantity, and cost control.
Supervise and coordinate the mill workforce, including supervisors, operators, technicians, and support staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs and job responsibilities.
Oversee the performance, maintenance, and optimization of machinery and equipment, implementing both preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, as well as sustainability standards such as ISPO, RSPO, and ISO.
Manage the efficient use of energy, water, and chemicals, and monitor the treatment of liquid and solid waste in accordance with environmental requirements.
Conduct data analysis on production, efficiency, and downtime, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for top management.
Coordinate with other departments, including estate, sustainability, HSE, HR, and logistics, to ensure smooth and integrated operations.
Handle audits and inspections from external auditors, government agencies, and certification bodies, and follow up on any findings or recommendations.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
At least 10 years of experience in palm oil milling, with 5 years in a managerial role or equivalent.
Strong technical knowledge of palm oil milling processes, including sterilizer, digester, screw press, clarification, nut & kernel recovery, boiler, and power plant.
Well-versed in waste management practices, product quality standards, and sustainability frameworks such as ISPO, RSPO, and ISO 9001/14001.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
Able to analyze technical and operational reports, and make data-driven improvements.
Willing to be stationed at the mill site in a remote plantation area.
