Job Description

We are seeking an exceptionally dynamic and experienced Operations Director for our Contract Logistics division to expand our presence throughout the Southeast Asia cluster, anchored in Indonesia.

Based in Jakarta and reporting directly to the Senior Director Contract Logistics for Southeast Asia, you will oversee contract management and customer operations. Your main objective will be to develop a well-structured organization that excels in delivering high-quality services, driving new business implementations, fostering organic growth, and collaborating with commercial teams to capitalize on shared opportunities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build and sustain strategic partnerships with internal teams and customers, conducting consistent performance discussions to ensure transparency and foster strong relationships.
  • Promote innovative and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiencies, maximize value delivery, and collaborate closely with customers and regional leadership in budget formulation and financial monitoring.
  • Oversee effective contract administration and regularly review service scopes, taking the lead in new operational deployments to minimize risks and ensure seamless integration.
  • Identify areas for service improvement proactively, designing and executing initiatives to enhance the customer experience and identify new business prospects to facilitate growth.
  • Partner with the HR Department to drive recruitment and selection procedures for key roles within the Business Unit, establishing and monitoring strict performance targets.
  • Foster a culture of performance management among direct reports, recognizing training requirements and actively promoting career growth and succession planning.
  • Address any operational underperformance effectively, strictly following DP World standard processes to maintain high service levels.
  • Manage the P&L for the Indonesian Contract Logistics division, coordinating closely with customers and the direct supervisor to track financial progress and evaluate the range of services.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (an MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is highly advantageous).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Contract Logistics Management or Supply Chain, with a proven track record in managing large, diverse teams and handling complex logistics operations.
  • Deep understanding of contract logistics, warehousing and distribution, and transportation management.
  • Familiarity with the Contract Logistics sector in Indonesia, including a strong grasp of local regulations and market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage conflicts, and make strategic operational decisions.
  • Business fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is mandatory to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders, staff, and senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills for planning, executing, and monitoring large-scale operations.
