Role Description The Operating Room Nurse Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at RS Happy Land Medical Centre in East Java, Indonesia. This role oversees daily operations in the operating room, including planning and coordinating surgical schedules, managing nursing staff assignments, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. The Operating Room Nurse Manager is responsible for supervising pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care, monitoring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. The role includes managing supplies and equipment, supporting staff training and performance evaluations, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives that align with the hospital's service excellence standards.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in Operating Room procedures and workflows, including surgical scheduling and sterile environment management.
  • Solid foundation in Medicine and Surgery, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Advanced Nursing skills, including leadership in perioperative nursing practice and supervision of nursing staff.
  • Demonstrated excellence in Patient Care, with a focus on safety, comfort, and compassionate, culturally sensitive service.
  • Valid nursing license and formal nursing education (Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred).
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities, including conflict resolution and staff development.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in high-pressure clinical settings.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention, operating room safety standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Effective communication skills in a healthcare environment; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia required, English language skills an advantage.
  • Previous experience as an OR Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager in a hospital setting is highly beneficial.
