Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, infrastructure automation, Terraform, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, and cloud governance.

The role will be responsible for defining the architecture and governance for an enterprise-scale automated infrastructure provisioning platform spanning on-premises and Azure environments. The solution will use ServiceNow as the centralized intake and control plane, with Jenkins/Ansible supporting on-premises provisioning and Azure DevOps/Terraform supporting Azure cloud provisioning.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing Azure landing zones, reusable infrastructure patterns, security and compliance guardrails, automated governance, and integration between enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Azure architecture for automated infrastructure build and provisioning through a ServiceNow-led control plane.
• Define standardized and reusable Azure cloud build patterns aligned with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
• Design and govern Azure Landing Zone integration, subscription structures, networking, identity, security, and management capabilities.
• Define standards for Terraform modules, repositories, state management, pipelines, branching strategies, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Define Azure DevOps architecture for infrastructure provisioning, including CI/CD pipelines, approvals, release strategies, and environment management.
• Establish appropriate Azure SKUs, sizing standards, tagging, naming conventions, and configuration baselines.
• Translate security, compliance, resiliency, cost, data-residency, and operational requirements into automated infrastructure controls.
• Design integration between ServiceNow, rules engines, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Azure Policy, CMDB, and callback/status mechanisms.
• Define closed-loop provisioning workflows covering request, approval, build, validation, CMDB/change updates, and handover.
• Design and implement Azure governance guardrails using Azure Policy, RBAC, management groups, resource locks, and other native Azure capabilities.
• Ensure infrastructure builds comply with enterprise security, compliance, and architecture standards.
• Collaborate with cloud security, networking, infrastructure, finance/FinOps, platform engineering, and ServiceNow teams.
• Review solution designs, architecture documents, Terraform implementations, and automation workflows.
• Provide technical direction and architectural assurance across development and implementation teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, standardization, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of architectural and integration issues during implementation and production rollout.
• Define documentation, standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures for future cloud adoption.
