How can you support us Here are below your responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all quality control activities, including welding and field joint coating (FJC) inspections onboard offshore pipelaying vessels or at double-jointing yards.
- Ensure full implementation and compliance with approved Quality Control Plans (QCP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and project specifications.
- Supervise and manage the on-site QC inspection team (Welding, Coating inspectors and Pipe tallies) to ensure efficient deployment and adherence to safety and quality standards
- Review technical quality documentation, including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), welder qualifications, Coating procedures prior to operations.
- Monitor and audit welding parameters, consumables control, heat treatment, and equipment calibrations against approved project procedures.
- Lead the compilation, review, and final sign-off of the final As-Built documentation and Quality Records.
- Manage the Non-Conformance (NCR) process, tracking corrective actions, and ensuring effective close-out of quality issues.
- Act as the primary QC liaison between production management, engineering, and client representatives to resolve quality concerns and maintain production schedules.
What are we looking for
- Proven experience as a QC Coordinator or Senior Quality Supervisor specifically for offshore pipelay and double-jointing operations, involving Corrosion Resistant Alloy (CRA) line pipes.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum total 10 years of experience with 3 years experience in the same position. (i.e. QC Coordinator).
- Strong leadership and coordination skills, with a track record of managing multi-disciplinary inspection teams (Welding, Coating, Pipe Tally).
- Comprehensive knowledge of international pipeline codes and standards (e.g., DNV-ST-F101, API 1104, ASME, AWS, ISO)
- Valid and current certifications in relevant disciplines, such as Certified Welding Inspector (CSWIP 3.1/3.2, AWS CWI) and/or NDT Level II/III qualifications. FJC inspection certification (BGAS-CSWIP, NACE, or FROSIO) is highly advantageous
- Expertise in reviewing and auditing technical drawings, quality procedures, NDT results (especially AUT), and inspection records.
- Strong problem-solving capability with experience managing client relations regarding quality alignment.
- Strong documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills
- Good command of English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work on-site, including offshore/remote locations as required
- Attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and safety standards
