Job Description

Responsibilities

Teach Mandarin across levels: beginner (HSK 12), intermediate (HSK 34).
Build listening and speaking skills by practicing pronunciation and tones (pinyin drills, tongue twisters, tone pairs).
Adapt teaching methods to suit different student levels, ages, and learning styles.
Assign and review homework, projects, and assessments to track student progress.
Introduce and reinforce character recognition and writing, progressing from simple radicals to complex characters.
Guide students in grammar structures and sentence formation with practical examples.
Design engaging speaking exercises: role plays, dialogues, storytelling, and real-life scenarios.
Incorporate lessons on Chinese culture, idioms, proverbs, and business etiquette.
Prepare and administer vocabulary quizzes, listening tests, and oral proficiency evaluations.
Conduct HSK-focused preparation: vocabulary building, past-paper drills, timed practices, and exam-taking strategies.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of children, teens, and adult professionals.
Provide feedback to students and, where applicable, to parents on progress and improvement plans.
Collaborate with other tutors to improve learning resources and teaching methods.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mandarin Language, Chinese Literature, Education, or related fields.
Proven teaching experience (minimum 1 year) in Mandarin instruction, with the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
Strong proficiency in Mandarin with excellent grammar, pronunciation, and communication skills.
Familiarity with communicative and interactive teaching methodologies.
Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain student engagement.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Creativity in developing learning materials and activities.
Punctual, disciplined, and able to manage time effectively
