Responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyze, and recommend improvements to existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process effectiveness and identify areas for further optimization.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for operational deviations, production bottlenecks, and quality issues, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with production, quality control, maintenance, and R&D teams to implement process changes and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to operational staff on new processes, procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Prepare detailed reports on process performance, improvement projects, and cost savings achieved.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to process engineering and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new equipment, processes, and facility layouts.
  • Ensure all process improvements comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in process engineering, continuous improvement, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the oleochemical or related industry.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen). Certification (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in process mapping, statistical analysis, and relevant software (e.g., Minitab, AutoCAD, process simulation tools).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel to various plant locations as required.
